Farashganj Sporting Club,is a sports/Atheletic club was founded in 1959 with some passionate and enthusiistic young people of the vicinity.They approached the then Sarder of old Dhaka late Mowla Buksh Sarder who out of love for the sports gave them his home to house this club.

During the year 1967(12th March),the Club has been shifted to its own land which was donated by Late Mr. Moinuddin Chowdhury Former  Honorable Chairman of the Dhaka Municipality. Farashganj Sporting Club started its journey from there following their participations in a number of important games and Sports including Football, Hockey, Cricket, Table Tennis Handball chess and others.




Late Maula Buksh Sardar

Founder of The Club

Late Maula Buksh Sardar was the founder of the club established in his own house in 1959.He was also the Chairman of Farashganj union Committee under Dhaka Municipality.

Azim Buksh is one of the Founder Members & Founder Football Player of the Team.He is also the Chairman of the Maula Buksh Sardar Charitable eye Hospital,and also the Chairman of Dhaka kendra, Trustee & Vice President of the Anjuman Mufidul Islam,a charitable organization doing a commendable job.

Yousuf Buksh is the founder member as well as the football player of this club too A trustee Board member of Maula Buksh Sarder charitable Eye Hospital,Mr Yousuf is a social activist and also Trustee member of Maula Buksh Sarder Memorial Trust.He is also a n active member of Dhaka Samity.

Mohammed Hanif is the Life member of this club and involved with this Club since Late 1960s.He is also one of the Life member  and managing committee member of the Anjuman Mafidul Islam .Life Member of Dhaka Samity and Bangladesh Red Crescent Soceity.

Alamgir Alam Baby

Past vs.President & LIfe Member

Alamgir Alam Baby is the Life Member of this club and involved with this Club since mid 70's.He was the Football Secretary and during his tenure in1980 Farashganj Sporting Club got promoted from second Division to First Division Football league under Bangladesh Football Federation.

Mohammed Shahjahan

Life Member & Ex Player

Mohammed Shahjahan is the Life Member  of this Club  since mid 70's who actively participated in Playing Football and was the Captain of the team.

Farashganj Sporting Club won major title when they became Champion of the First national Table Tennis Championship in 1974 after beating Abahani KC.
The team was then consisting of the following great names:
Mizan ul Mowla, Amjad Hossain,Rafiqul Isalm ,Quddus and Niranjan Ghosh Haran.
Federation Cup Football Champion in 2011 which was Our first major title.
